# \[FE\&R] Importing FullStory Audience

{% hint style="warning" %}
**User ID requirement**\
To make this user-matching flow work, you need to pass the same user ID to both FullStory and\
AB Tasty FE\&R.

What you must do\
• Make sure FullStory receives a user ID\
• Use that same value as the AB TASTY FE\&R User ID\
• If the values don’t match, AB TASTY FE\&R won’t be able to target your FullStory segment

More info on the FE\&R User ID [here](https://docs.abtasty.com/server-side/concepts/universal-collect-1)\
More info on the FullStory User ID [here](https://help.fullstory.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020828113-Identifying-users)
{% endhint %}

FullStory is a digital experience analytics platform that tracks how visitors interact with your website or app to optimize the customer experience.

The FullStory integration allows you to import your FullStory segments in Flagship so you can target them with Flagship use cases.

|
⭐ Good to know: FullStory Segments

A segment in FullStory is any subset of users based on a particular criterion you defined. For more information on how to use segments please refer to the FullStory documentation.
|
| ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

The FullStory pull integration will use the FullStory API to create [data exports](https://help.fullstory.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020829273-What-is-Data-Export-) of existing segments and import them into Flagship. So, you can see in the FullStory interface one data export for each segment. Segments are exported daily at 3 am, with the data from the day before. A user entering an audience at D/8 am or D/11 pm can be activated in Flagship at D+1/3 am.

This article will walk you through the different steps to setup the integration on FullStory side and to export your segments.

The FullStory pull integration will use the FullStory API to pull segments and import them into Flagship. To use the FullStory API and access the segment, we need an API key.

|
⭐ Good to know: API Key

An API key is a unique key that allows a third-party tool to communicate with the specific accounts of each tool, i.e., send data from/to your account.
|
| -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

To enable the integration on Fullstory, follow the steps below:

### ![Screenshot\_2023-01-13\_at\_12.12.57\_\_1\_.png](/files/gnL52GA8C0nl1YF5G1us)

1. Access **Settings > Integrations > API Keys**
2. Click **“Create key”**
3. In the drawer that appeared, give a name to the API key you will create and give it the “Architect” permissions.
4. Click **“Save API Key”.**
5. Upon successful creation of a key, a modal will appear with the new key’s value. You must copy the value from this modal at this time. You will not be able to see the key value again. Copy the value, and save it in your preferred API key or password manager. This API key value will be used to activate the integration in Flagship.

For further information on FullStory API keys, please refer to the [FullStory documentation](https://help.fullstory.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052021773-Managing-API-Keys).

To enable the integration on Flagship, follow the steps below:

1. Access **Settings > Integrations > Pull**
2. In the **dropdown**, select **FullStory**.
3. Copy and paste the FullStory API key.
4. Click **“Add tool”** to finalize the integration.

The FullStory integration is now set up. This allows AB Tasty to pull the segments from FullStory.
