Folders in AB Tasty’s FE&R (Feature Experimentation & Rollouts) platform help you stay organized, especially when managing a large number of experiments across multiple teams or projects. Whether you're overseeing product features, documentation changes, marketing banners, or sales campaigns, folders give you a tidy way to group related campaigns together.
Let’s go through how to manage folders step-by-step—from creating new ones to navigating inside them and assigning campaigns appropriately.
In FE&R, a folder is a container that groups your campaigns under a common category or use case. For example, you might have separate folders for:
Documentation: Changes tested on help articles or interfaces.
Application: Functional or UI updates on your core app.
Marketing: Promotional banners or seasonal campaign tests.
Sales, Cart, or Demo Preview for other departments or sandbox testing.
Each folder shows how many campaigns it contains and how many are currently live.
In the above screenshot, we see 6 folders: Application, Cart, Demo Preview, Documentation, Marketing, and Sales. Each displays:
The number of live campaigns (in green)
The total campaign count
The number of members with access (in this case, “0 members”)
To create a new folder:
Click on Folder in the Feature Experimenation menu
From the Folders overview screen, click the Create a folder button in the top right or in the last purple box at the bottom.
Enter a name for the folder. Choose something meaningful that reflects its purpose (e.g., “Onboarding Flow” or “Holiday Promotions”).
Once created, the folder will appear alongside others with empty campaign stats.
Creating folders is especially helpful when multiple teams share access to the platform and need clear boundaries between their experiments.
Each folder can have its own set of collaborators. From inside the folder:
Click the Manage members button at the top right.
You can invite colleagues, assign roles, or view who currently has access.
This is useful for restricting editing rights to team-specific folders, avoiding accidental changes to unrelated campaigns.
Clicking on a folder brings you to its campaign overview, similar to the global campaigns dashboard but filtered to only that folder.
In the above screenshot, we’re inside the Application folder. It shows 4 campaigns with their standard properties:
Name: What the campaign is testing.
Type: Whether it’s a Feature Toggle, A/B Test, or Personalization.
Status: Like DRAFT
, READY
, LIVE
, or PAUSED
.
Environment: Whether it’s in prod
(production) or preprod
(pre-production).
