EmotionsAI Journey Analysis

The Journey Analysis allows you to know about the potential opportunities of improvements you can do on your webpages and EmotionsAI audiences. It will show you the economic losses globally but also page by page.

The Journey Analysis gives you a simple and fast reading of the audits at the level of the whole Visitors' journey.

This page presents the aggregated and organized results of the Page Analysis performed at each journey step that is contained in the Website Mapping you want to use. On top of that, you can have a glance of the monetary losses the emotional dissatisfactions bring according to a specific goal to reach. This monetary estimation is according to the average business value that you specify for journey goal(s) in the settings (default value: 100).

You can analyze the details on a specific date range and on various devices.

You will find on this page some elements both for configuring the requests of the insights and for displaying them.

You can access this page through the main navigation :

Configuring your Journey Analysis

First, you will have a the left panel to choose the Mapping you want to use and the date range.

Clicking on the button Create a new Analysis will enable the configuration of those dimensions.

We recommend to do long Analysis for relevance and significance : from 30 days to 120 days.

Mapping selection

This selection will retrieve :

  • the Funnel(s) set in the mapping

  • the Mapping Goals

  • the different pages and steps you selected per funnel and their order

Date range

For the date range, just select the start and end dates using the date picker or its presets and save the selection to fetch data only in this period.

Applying the Analysis request settings

After configuring your perfect Analysis request, you can click on the Apply button to fetch the data and create the Analysis.

Note that if you recently created trackers to be used in this interface, only the Page Trackers will be retroactive. The Action Trackers, Custom Trackers and Transaction are not, thus no data will be collected prior to their creation.

Clicking on Apply will launch your request to our Data services. Please note that it you may want to wait a bit after a Mapping modification before doing an Analysis request on it as our different Data services need to sync (around 60 seconds) to manage the changes. Also a Journey Analysis request ight take a while depending on the volume of data we process. The timezone used for the analysis request is the one set on the account.

History of Saved Analysis requests

In the interface you will find a history of up to 10 Analysis requested previously for fetching them quickly after use.

This will allow you to save some time and also to compare different requests from one to the other (for example the emotional performance of January 2025 and February 2025).

Create a new Analysis will automatically create an Analysis block with 3 possibles states :

  • Success : your Analysis request has done the calculation, fetched the data and is ready to be used!

  • Pending : your Analysis request is still in progress.

  • Fail: your Analysis request has encountered a problem (no Mapping Goal in the Website Mapping, use of a deleted tracker in a Mapping, a tracker with no data, etc…).

You can also delete a Successful or Failed Analysis request. Deleting should be in case you no longer require a specific Analysis or when you reached the 10 maximum or if the process has failed.

Table Filters

On top of the table, you have some filters :

These dimensions will just filter the data and update its display, a new request will not be fetched.

Mapping Goals filter

First you will be able to select what we call the Mapping Goal. The Mapping Goal is the last step of a Funnel a visitor has to reach for considering the Funnel as completed.

By default, all Mapping Goals are selected for the Analysis meaning that we will do the sum of them for the estimated losses whatever the journey of the visitors as they may have completed different funnels and goals along the way.

Devices switcher

You can select Desktop, Mobile or both of them as devices. As the EmotionsAI data pattern is scarce for Tablet users, we do not provide an Analysis view on this device.

Units switcher

Analysis table

Estimated Losses Card

You can find in this card the estimated losses of the last 30 days on the selected mapping. Beneath, the estimated losses for 12 months.

The monthly Estimated Losses are the result of a cross-product of a specific Analysis query adjusted to a monthly period.

The yearly Estimated Losses are the above monthly Estimated Losses multiplied by 12.

These Estimated Losses represent the ideal vision of potential opportunities. In practice, if you have good Personalization scenarii and optimization mechanisms you will be able to handle 10-20% of gain the first year. Refinement, reflexion and perseverance will be your leitmotivs for the next month to achieve your emotional optimization.

Top Pages to improve

Here we list the pages where we found the most important opportunities of improvement according to the traffic volume of all EmotionsAI audiences and their estimated losses.

Page selection dropdown

This dropdown allows you to select the pages contained in the Mapping to see a detailed view. By default, the dropdown is set as “All pages” giving you a global and aggregated view on all the pages of the Mapping.

Graphics bars

The audiences are displayed by descending importance of the conversion losses.

You can see for each EmotionsAI audience 2 graphics bars : Opportunities and Traffic.

The graphic bars are proportionally sized according to the total number of traffic and conversion losses on the page(s).

They are displayed from left to right with their position starting where the bar of the upper audiences stopped.

Opportunities bar (pink)

This graphic bar indicates you the conversion losses and thus Opportunities of this audience on the selected page(s) either in monetary value or raw conversions.

How are the Opportunities calculated? We make audits on all steps of the Mapping and we also assess the performance of each step's audience according to the reach of the mapping goal(s). If an audience has a lower conversion rate from each Step to the mapping goal(s) compared to the average conversion rate of all audiences on each Step, we estimate how many conversions we lose, hence Opportunities.

Traffic bar (grey)

This graphic bar indicates the traffic of unique visitors of each EmotionsAI audience on the selected page(s).

Troubleshooting

If no or low data is fetch on your Analysis request, please make sure that :

  • the date of activation of EmotionsAI Insights is not posterior to the query start and end dates : the EmotionsAI dedicated collect is not retroactive ;

  • the date of creation of the used trackers is also posterior to the query : most AB Tasty trackers are not retroactive, the only exception being the Page Trackers ;

  • the trackers' names were not changed recently ;

  • the trackers have been QAed and are effectively collecting data.

In order to use the Journey Analysis page, you must create at least one .

You can select different Mappings (if multiple have been created in the ).

Note that you can display the Mapping structure by clicking on the informative icon

Each Mapping Goal has an Average Order Value (AOV) set in the .

Last, you can choose to display the data and graphic bars according to the monetary value (currency according to your ) or the raw conversions.
