The QA mode enables you to choose the method(s) used to perform the QA of your campaign. The aim of the QA mode is to make your campaign visible to you only, to visualize the configured changes and perform the QA. Your targeted visitors won’t be able to see the campaign yet. To QA your campaign means to check that all changes, targeting and trackings have been implemented correctly before making the campaign live to your visitors (the audience targeted by your campaign).
From the QA & Overview step of your campaign, you can enable any of the following parameters:
URL parameter
IP address
Cookie
When you enable at least one parameter, the QA mode turns On and the campaigns enters IN QA state.
Targeting by URL parameter enables you to visualize your campaign according to a specific parameter that is automatically added at the end of the QA Assistant URL. This parameter includes the ID of the campaign to ensure that the QA targets only this specific campaign.
Activate the URL Parameter toggle.
Click Save step The URL parameter is automatically added at the end of the QAA URL.
To QA your campaign manually (without using the QA Assistant module) with the URL parameter, you can copy the URL parameter (you can find it in the description), open the page related to your campaign and paste the parameter at the end.
The URL parameter option is only available for A/B tests at the moment.
Targeting by IP is the easiest and fastest way to QA your campaign. It enables you to QA your campaign on all devices and browsers at the same time.
Activate the IP toggle: the IP address detected on your device is automatically filled in.
From the first drop-down list, choose between "is" and "is not".
From the second drop-down list, choose between visitor and range. 👉 Visitor: when selecting the Visitor option, you can either configure your own IP address (which can be shared with a network) or a specific IP address (other than the one linked to your network). You can also target several addresses at once. To do so, click Add condition and enter the IP address. If two or more IP addresses are configured, at least one of these IP addresses will be targeted. 👉 Range: when selecting the Range option, you need to enter the first and last IP addresses of the range. This will trigger all the IP addresses belonging to a sub-network.
If you want to QA your campaign on mobile and desktop with your mobile in 4G/5G, and your computer connected to Wi-Fi, you must enter two different IP addresses.
Targeting by cookie may be useful if you work in a big company with a shared IP address.
Activate the Cookie toggle.
From the first drop-down list, choose between "is" and "is not".
Open the tested page, then manually add your cookie via one of the following solutions:
Open the cookie editor extension.
Add your new cookie name (and value). The cookie must be identical to the one set up in the QA step.
Save and refresh the page.
Open the Chrome console by using keyboard shortcuts Cmd + Option + J (on a Mac) or Ctrl +Shift +J (on Windows).
Add your new cookie to your browser from the console.
document.cookie="recetteABT=true" "recetteABT=true"
Refresh the page.
Use the QA Assistant to QA your campaign directly on your website. The QA Assistant opens in the URL you entered in the Main information step of your campaign. You can then browse through any page targeted by your campaign.
Once you have finished performing the QA of your campaign, you can either:
Uncheck all the QA parameters (from Step 1) and click the Save button.

• If you need to make other modifications to your campaign, select the "Pause" option (if the campaign has ever been Live) or the "Draft" option.
• If you want to schedule a start date, end date or a recurrence for your campaign, select the "Schedule" option.
