The Trackers page (Library > Tracking > Trackers) enables you to view and manage all active and hidden trackers for your tests and personalizations.
It shows all the trackers you’ve set up, including their status and type. You can also use this page to create new trackers, edit existing ones, change campaigns for which they are available, hide trackers from the tracker setup step of your campaign creation flow, and delete trackers that are no longer relevant.
Setting up and managing trackers is an important part of running successful tests and personalization campaigns. By tracking the right trackers, you can gain valuable insights into user behavior and make data-driven decisions to improve your website’s performance.
The page is divided into sections, one for each type of tracker:
These trackers track specific user actions on your website, such as clicks on buttons or links. They are useful for campaigns where you want to track interactions with specific elements on your website. You can create Action Trackers from the visual editor step of the Campaign creation flow.
Trackers generated by widgets are now automatically included in the Goal Setup, enhancing the ease of tracking user interactions with your widgets. When you create a widget that includes an integrated tracker, it will be automatically generated and displayed in the Goal Setup section of your campaign, under the new Widget Trackers category.
This allows you to select these trackers as goals, providing a streamlined process for measuring interactions and analyzing performance. The data from these widget trackers will be included in your campaign reports.
These trackers track page views on your website. You can create Page trackers from the Trackers page.
These are trackers used to track and analyze users' browsing behavior on websites or applications. By default, AB Tasty provides three browsing indicators, including bounce rate, pages per session, and revisit rate, which can help understand user engagement and behavior on your website.
These indicators track completed transactions on your website. They are useful for campaigns where you want to track revenue or conversions. You can only create Transaction indicators if you have installed a transaction tag on your website.
Each section displays the trackers of that type, along with their status and the number of campaigns they are associated with.
You can use the search bar at the top of the page to find specific trackers by name or ID.
While Page trackers and Custom trackers can be created from the Trackers page, Action trackers, Browsing Indicators, and Transactions can only be created from the visual editor.
To edit, delete, hide, or change the availability of a tracker, use the available buttons on each tracker.
Clicking on the black flag icon (1) will change the availability of the tracker from this specific campaign to all campaigns.
Clicking on the eye icon (2) will hide the tracker from the list. This is useful when you have many trackers and want to focus on a specific one.
Clicking on the pencil icon (3) allows you to edit the tracker.
Clicking on the trash icon (4) will delete the tracker.
The following table summarizes the possible actions per tracker:
