To successfully integrate your Shopify store with the AB Tasty Recommendations & Merchandising platform, please follow the detailed steps below.
Before You Begin We recommend consulting the Introductory Page to understand the integration process and prerequisites before proceeding.
Navigate to the ‘Integrations’ page in the platform by clicking on your avatar in the top-right corner of the interface. Locate the Shopify icon and click on the ‘Connect’ button directly below it.
The platform will display a step-by-step instruction window to guide you through the connection process. Open the Shopify admin interface in a new tab.
In the Shopify admin interface, go to ‘Develop apps for your store’.
Click ‘Continue’ in the platform’s instruction window to move to the next step.
In the Shopify admin interface, click on ‘Create an app’.
Enter ‘AB Tasty’ as the app name.
Click ‘Continue’ in the platform’s instruction window.
In the Shopify admin interface, click on ‘Configure admin API scopes’.
Select the following scopes:
Click ‘Continue’ in the platform’s instruction window.
In the Shopify admin interface, click on ‘Save’.
Click ‘Continue’ in the platform’s instruction window.
In the Shopify admin interface, click on ‘Install app’.
Click ‘Continue’ in the platform’s instruction window.
In the Shopify admin interface, retrieve the following values:
Hostname
Admin API access token
API Secret
Admin API secret key
In the platform, enter these values into their corresponding fields.
Click ‘Connect Shopify’ to finalise the integration.
Return to the platform interface by clicking ‘Back to Dashboard’ in the top-left corner.
Navigate to the ‘Catalog’ tab in the left-hand menu.
If your products are displayed, the integration is active and operational.
If no products appear:
Verify that you followed all steps correctly.
Check for errors in the API credentials or configuration.
If the issue persists, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) for assistance.
Additional Notes The Shopify integration provides access to analytics data for enhanced insights. If you encounter issues at any stage, consult the platform documentation or contact your CSM for personalised support.
